Fall Fixins

Sometimes a touch of fall in your house is all you need to embrace the beauty of the changing leaves outside. This fall, I have chosen to embrace the season by selecting a palette of fall-inspired paintings, place settings and accent pieces for my kitchen.

Fall Painting

The first item I selected is a painting of trees turning orange and red. I liked this painting because it reminds me of the leisurely fall drives I always take. I used this as a base to select the other items in the kitchen. Next, I found two complementary paintings with deep red and orange tones appropriate for the kitchen. One showcases a wine stopper amidst rust colors, and the other displays white wine with red hues across the label. I felt these were pleasant pieces to look at over a leisurely hot cider drink.

Next I selected matching reddish/orange ruffle place settings, along with cream napkins tied that i tied in a brown bow. This brought the colors from the wall together with the table.

Fall Table Setting

Finally, I selected matching accent pieces to place throughout the kitchen. Target had a nice selection of bowls, vases and flowers that added pops of color throughout. I also decided to keep out my red Le Creuset pot as the focal point on the stove.

Due to all the fall hues, I am now inspired to cook squash every time I walk into the kitchen. It is so simple to add just a few touches to your room that will allow you to enjoy the season to its fullest.
