Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala

Meet Marsala, the earthy and rich new color of the year! Pantone hit the nail right on the head by choosing this diverse shade of red as 2015's “it” color.

Marsala is quite the versatile color, as it can create a warm and inviting space for a country themed home while also having the power to bring drama and elegance to a modern-styled space. Just be sure to use this color sparingly, as a little goes a long way.
Depending on what colors you mix with Marsala, the hue can lean warm or cool. As you can see above, I chose to work-in cool grey tones to create a glam-styled bedroom. By bringing in modern details such as tufted furniture, metallic accents, abstract prints and decorative motifs, Marsala is brought to life and can be read as a new and exciting new color.

Marsala! I've never even heard of it before, but it's beautiful. Mixing the marsala with grey is very elegant. Gives me some ideas for sprucing up my living room for a warm winter theme!
